Anthony shares: “I hope people are reminded that while we can impact the world, it's important to remember that what matters most are those closest to you. While not everything can have a simple answer, let's not complicate what is already complicated enough.”

He adds: “The lyrics to me are my very simple way of saying I don't understand many things, but I do understand freedom. You may disagree with my beliefs, and that's okay. I won't hate you. I wanted to be unapologetically myself.”


What inspired Anthony Bonnette's "That's Just Me" song?

The song draws from Anthony's own life—growing up in Lone Star, TX, surrounded by musical family in the piney woods near Lake O’ the Pines. It captures longing for simpler days, porch swings, wind chimes, and genuine connections, all while staying proud of his beliefs and roots.


The official video brings that East Texas heart to life: real family moments, everyday freedom, and small-town authenticity that feels like home.
